About Solange Guberman
Solange Guberman has accumulated a lengthy record of diplomatic, government, and judicial service, most recently as a Justice of the Peace for the Ontario Court of Justice for the Government of Ontario in Canada. Her areas of expertise include logistics and planning, community engagement, judicial processes and ethics, strategic consultation, and diplomacy. Possessing skills in research, organization, communication, and successfully navigating bureaucratic and political roadblocks, Solange Guberman began her career as a French and Linguistics lecturer at the college level. In 1987, she founded CAMLI Corporation, where she served as President. The company designed educational software, selling its own and other products and consulting to educational institutions and school boards.
For seven years, Solange Guberman worked for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), as partner country (Canada) Director of Advanced Research Workshops for Romania and as Director of NATO Events. In the latter role, she supported Romanian initiatives, administered a networking infrastructure grant of $150,000, and joined the NATO Advanced Study Institute. Solange Guberman also accepted the post of Director of Conferences and Special Events for the Canada School of Public Service, and played a key role in planning and orchestrating the Conference on Climatic Changes as Coordinator, Protocols and Special Events for Environment Canada in Montréal and Ottawa.
Solange Guberman has delivered more than 30 presentations, and a similar number of workshops, seminars, and software fairs. She also authored 25 published articles. In community service, she has served as a consulting volunteer at Le Centre Espoir Sophie, co-chaired the Executive Committee on Protocol for Skål International Ottawa, and chaired the Program Committee of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa. Solange Guberman earned a B.A. with honors in French and Italian and an M.A. in French and Italian at McGill University in Montréal, and a Ph.D. at Washington University in St. Louis. Subsequently, she carried out a postdoctoral fellowship in France, an M.Ed. in Second Language Didactics (French) and a B.Ed. at the University of Ottawa. She also received an Ontario Teacher’s Certificate with an option in French.
